#7 welcome to London

Okay first thing first , I must admit , I should write more often, I mean it does not take a long time to blabber your thoughts out but hey life has been totally hectic.... I have been meaning to write at least twice a week but never got the chance to fully justify it,

Right now I have just woken up after a two hour power nap (aren't they suppose to be 45 min long ).. all these 7am edit starts .....

oops anyway , I'm just about to leave for the gym but wanted to leave you with a read,

So what shall we talk about , ...well I have many things in my mind, lets start with my beloved baby #7 welcome to London.

We have finished the final cut of the first 37 minutes today, It has been truly rewarding and I'm totally loving it, Directing the film gave me an all time high and now seeing the fruit assembling and working out beats that all time high, I cant wait to show the film to all you lovely souls,

My editor has done a great job in assembling the rough cut and poor fellow has to put up with me now , as I'm finalising the cut, my beloved co producer is also being made to travel for an hour and half every morning at 7am, but we both can not contain our excitement as we see our baby blossom.

I have been overwhelmed by the love and support by all of you, you guys are amazing.

I can only repay your support by providing you a great entertaining film made in UK for the wholesome bigger market, SLUM DOG broke so many barriers ... and its time people live their dreams,

you know I always wanted to make films they way I like to see them, hence here I am doing that , If you guys have a dream, just follow it. If i can help anyone in the process, Please let me know.

I am serious .....seriously if you wanna do something , just go out there and do it (excludes murder and robbery )... ya ya I know what you are thinking ..just kidding ...

A New Beginning :)

Hello Hello Hey hey hey

Trust all is well with you all, It was a rather very sunny Sunday yesterday, Not that means much if you wake up at 2pm, which is quite bizarre but hey that's the reality,

I'm a bit of night owl which means more productivity night time ( all you cheeky loved ones , I'm talking about my work) LOL

OK lets talk about #7 - WTL

so we have over 45 hours of footage , all I need is about 120 minute film, I have seven songs in my film, all sang by really good talent, I have some great performances and now a great editor, so much work but at the same time really scary .. Cant wait for final product,

You know I thought writing this blog I can always share my thoughts with all my loved ones and believe me I write my blogs in five minutes flat cos I don't think about what I'm saying (my mums biggest compliant about me .... Beta soch kar bola karo) LOL

anyway any of my friend loved ones well wishers wanna help me in with my school and film and would like to contribute, Please get in touch, I'm always open to ideas and well you never know where you find that magic.

I watched a film recently and for the first time slept in it ... never happened to me before , not sure if it was the company or just the film, Juts kidding

off to the gym and shall write very soon,

in the mean time , I'm always there for my friends and loved ones,

p.s ended up attending and making a speech at Naila's talent do, and just to see how UK Asian talent is blossoming and we are all proud to be a very talented community,

Hello my loved ones, as promised here I am writing again , had a quick nap as have totally recovered from my so called COLD but still had temperature and have been advised to pop two paracetamol's and two ibuprofens , which I am doing , so Thank you Doc,

Now I actually went to see WANTED in Ilford cine world with my best friend and co producer of my film.... we had to do our research regarding the market and whats new in cinemas and get a feeler of the crowd, and thank god it was a Tuesday 2pm show and hence had only about ten people but those ten were answering their phones and talking like it was a picnic, I always wonder why do US Asians do that , I mean why cant you F***ing be discreet when you answer your phone , why does it have to be like food stall, selling potatoes , crying out loud, I was not well but I still asked them to S **T TF up, cos I found it really annoying but on a bright side , i realised that they are my audience and they make and break me, so well I gave up a while,

Now about the bleeding movie,

Guys you have never seen Salman khan like this, he simply rocked, I am lucky enough to know him and personally interacted with him, he is simply rocking in this feature , Its Salman show all the way , Prabhudeva probably the best dancer in India has done a commendable job in directing Salman and utilising him very well, wanted is a remake of Pokiri which was made in Telgu andTamil respectively and were a rage , anyway check it out , definitely better than heart bole happida ... cos well I was not impressed with its trailer , personal choice guys,

Got a call from my editor and watching 50 hours of footage from Thursday, was just thinking how hard is it to cut a film of two hours from 50 hours of footage , ha ha ha ..it will be fun,

also have spoken to some really lovely people lately , thank you for your support and always all my loved ones who have been there for me, i really appreciate it . I promise my special preview and premiere tickets for #7 - welcome to London,

p.s you will surely even see me before on your screens in something very interesting soon,

Also My brother Bernard is planning to get Max Clifford to meet us regarding our film so I must apologise for any future antics of mine cos they will always be planned and I have nothing to do with it , just getting , Now smile and have a great day or night ,

sorry sorry but a big thank you

Wow ... its been a long time and a while since I wrote my last blog, as I have been told by a very very dear friend of mine that I need to update my blog, p.s she writes the most amazing blogs, I don't stand a chance , but here is an attempt,

I was just thinking what is a blog, is it my thoughts or what I'm going through , where do i start,

well first of all, I have MAN FLU , ha ha ha , just kidding but yes been under the weather,

You will be glad to know the shoot of #7 - welcome to London is all done and I just wanna thank each and every single person who has been part of it , from the entire talented cast to the amazing crew, you guys simply rocked, BAFTA's here we come :)

The movie is looking great and very rare few who have seen some of the footage. you know what i am talking about

whats really amazing and something that I have learnt during this film is that nothing in this world can beat the human bond, the kind of love and support I received during the making of this feature has really touched me and made me realise that as humans the biggest asset is ourselves to one another, I am extremely proud to know each and everyone of you and its been a pleasure.

#7 - welcome to London will have a worldwide release early 2010.We have a great editor on board and a great post production team, so they better do it right or HITLER will leash out.

p.s I have no idea but someone named me HITLER on the set ( yes you know who you are ), may be I was asking for too much or my idea of perfection differs , end of the day we all came together and did this.

what else can i share with you, ooh yes I have missed all of you, if I have not spoken to you, its because its been hectic , Please call me , write to me , to all my loved ones , my friends,

anyway its the weekend , apart from footballers stamping on each others faces , Kayne west going bonkers , Gordon brown screwing further and Obama being a rude boy , at least weather is sunny and bright ,

Ok here we go again

Hello my loved ones ,

you know what when i was growing up , I thought computers, laptops , all the tech stuff was for doing my course work onlyand while you are a student, little i knew it will become my life eventually, investment banking and now work ...

I also realised that so much work goes in making a film so I'll stop dissing other films ..I mean come on its only fair they made a film they believed in with what ever resources they had ... blah blah

Well the team at Iconic have been working very hard at our feature film number seven , final draft is getting  ready , we are putting an excellent team together

BUT FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PEOPLE WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY WEBSITE,

Guys you know who you are , the reason I'm not naming you is cos then they all would harass you for more work ...loll   ..but thank you ..none of this is possible without you as always

now this coming Saturday 4th April I'm hosting the elegance wedding exhibition show and plan to make it very hilarious and very very interactive so if you are spotted by me , gosh you are in trouble ...loll

My First Blog

Hello and Welcome to my world,

I hope I find you all in good health and doing well in 2009. It's quite funny that the world is in a tumble with the recession and all the other problems we are facing on Earth,
Funnily enough I met this pandit-ji while in Mumbai who claimed that 2009 will be my year, so I suppose I'm totally against the odds here ...Nice stuff though :)


This website has taken ages to come alive but it's finally here. A lot has changed since I decided to build this site.

I have had three exciting and rewarding years in this profession since I quit Investment banking and won the title of Mr. ASIA UK 2004 and VJ on B4U music.

Instead of talking about what I have been doing in the past, I'm going to talk about the present and the future.

I am in the midst of an Iconic Productions UK film which is called Number SEVEN.

I believe this will be an amazing debut film for me considering the market as it is set in London, but is a full commercial Bollywood film, I am very excited!

Also, Iconic is planning on doing some major stuff all around the world which includes Iconic acting workshops etc.

Oh and a friend of mine asked me if I was interested in being part of a cancer charity, my answer was surely YES, so now I will be auctioned in three countries to the biggest bidders in USA, UK and Canada. (yes its a dinner date ..harmless I believe)

Oh and guess what, I got three parking tickets since I have been back in London, crazy huh?!! considering I could park anywhere in Bombay ..talk about liberty !!! :) Gotta run now , heading to the gym so till next time , in truth vj style, I miss you guys and love you lots,..... Asad :)
